Yuvraj Singh, who was named player of the tournament in India's 2011 World Cup triumph, has retired from international cricket. The 37-year-old all-rounder, who last played an international match in 2017, scored 11,778 runs and took 148 wickets across three formats in international cricket. He had made his international debut as an 18-year-old in an ODI in 2000.
"After 25 years, I have decided to move on. Cricket has given me everything and is the reason why I stand here today," the 37-year-old Yuvraj said. "I was extremely lucky to play 400 games for India. I could have never imagined it when I first started playing cricket," he added.
