Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister and YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief Y S Sharmila joined the Congress on Thursday.
She also announced the merger of her party with the Congress, and said she would fulfil any responsibility given to her.
Addressing reporters after joining, she said: “Congress party is still the largest secular party of our country and it has always upheld the true culture of India and built foundations of our nation.” She joined the party in presence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi.
