The water level in the Yamuna is flowing above the danger level, reaching a level of 205.75 metres at the Old Railway Bridge in Delhi. A surge in discharge from the Hathnikund Barrage into the Yamuna following heavy rain in parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh is the reason behind the increase of water level of the river.
