Around 2000 people were stranded near Vishnuprayag on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway as huge boulders had rolled down and blocked the highway yesterday. The Secretary of the Disaster Management Department, Amit Negi has been asked to monitor the situation by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Arrangements for food and lodging for the stranded people have been made, said an official.
