Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud was on Friday given a ceremonial farewell in the Supreme Court as he retired from judicial service. In his farewell speech, the outgoing CJI remembered his initial days in the judiciary and said that those parts of the judiciary come to the court as “pilgrims".
He delivered a message from the ceremonial bench and acknowledged the reality that he would no longer serve as the country's top judge. "I won't be able to deliver justice from tomorrow, but I am content," he said.
