The dead body of a woman was found inside a drum dumped near the main gate of Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) railway station in Bengaluru, police said.
Superintendent of Police (Railways) in Karnataka SK Sowmyalatha said the deceased woman was between 32-35 years of age. She is yet to be identified. A murder case has been registered.
The incident follows in the wake of two similar cases reported in Bengaluru since late last year.
