On Wednesday, India recorded a total of 2,745 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, an increase of 503 cases from the previous day. This took India's total tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,31,60,832 so far since the pandemic started in the country. The active cases increased to 18,386 from 17,698 on Tuesday, according to the Union Health Ministry data. With six fatalities reported in the country on Tuesday, India's death toll climbed to 5,24,636 since the start of the pandemic.
