The number of coronavirus cases in Gujarat rose to 2815 after 191 more people tested positive for the disease in the state a health department official said. The death toll in the state went up to 127, as Fifteen more patients succumbed to coronavirus, principal secretary (health) Jayanti Ravi said.
Out of the 191 new cases, 169 were reported from Ahmedabad, 3 were reported from Anand & Panchmahal each, 6 were reported from Surat, 5 were reported from Vadodara, 1 were reported from Gandhinagar, Botad & Valsad each.
Out of Fifteen latest deaths, 14 were reported from Ahmedabad, while one from Surat. Ahmedabad has reported 83 deaths so far,  and Surat has reported 14 deaths so far.
Out of total 2538 active cases, the condition of 29 patients is serious and they are on ventilator support while 2,394 are stable and 5 persons recovered from the infection and given discharge in the last 24 hours, she added.  Ravi said.
