PM Narendra Modi’s 7-km road show in his constituency attracted a massive surging crowd of thousands as Varanasi residents lined the roads to welcome their MP on Thursday. As night descended on the city, the PM along with BJP chief Amit Shah and UP CM Yogi Adityanath performed the famous ‘Ganga aarti’ at Dashashwamedh Ghat. He later addressed a meeting where he spoke of Varanasi’s development and national security. He said he had responded to terrorists in a language they understood. He was committed to development but security is the pre-requisite for prosperity, the PM said.
