The WHO and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention have launched a 25-member expert advisory panel to explore the role of traditional medicine in COVID-19 pandemic. The panel will support countries in conducting clinical trials and enhance research and development of traditional therapies. The African continent has reported 7.48 lakh cases with 15,685 deaths, as per WHO data.
