Hours after security forces stopped BJP leaders from carrying the body of deceased workers to the party office, party general secretary Rahul Sinha announced that a 12-hour bandh will be observed in Basirhat and the entire state tomorrow.
The saffron party leader said they will observe black day and added that they will move court over the role played by the state police. Later, the remains of the deceased were taken to their native places for the funeral.
The BJP had claimed on Saturday that the Trinamool Congress had shot dead four of its party workers in Sandeshkhali, Basirhat, over the removing of party flags from public places in the Hatgacha panchayat area.
