Uttarakhand police officer has received several praises after a video has gone viral, in which he is seen risking his life to save a drowning man in the river Ganga. The Uttarakhand Police department has uploaded a video on the micro-blogging platform-Twitter in which a man was seen drowning and acting swiftly in the situation, the cop swam and saved the man.
The victim was identified as Vishal, a resident of Haryana. He had gone to take a dip in the river Ganga when he slipped and fell into the river. He was carried away with the water flow, when the police officer, Sunny, saw him and jumped to save his life. Sunny is deployed in the Uttarakhand police force.
