The Election Commission will announce general election to the Lok Sabha and few states assemblies at 5 pm today. The Commission will also announce the poll schedule for assembly elections in the states of Odisha, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. However, the EC’s internal assessments showed that it had the window to announce Lok Sabha election until 15th March as the next Lok Sabha is to be constituted by 3rd June 2019.
