William Hayward, Regional Security Officer at the US Embassy Office in New Delhi, has filed a complaint against six persons at Chanakyapuri police station in New Delhi on August 7, 2009, for submitting a fake document to obtain a visa.

According to the FIR details, these six persons have given a fake document from various company as well as a sponsored letter from the US-based Friends Group of Gujarat given by Vadodara-based Shreyas Joshi to obtain a visa. The persons against whom the offense has been registered under IPC act 420, 468, 471 and 121B which includes three persons from Ahmedabad, one from Mumbai, one from Punjab and one from Gandhinagar.

More importantly, the US Embassy complaint states that the employment letter given by Shreyas Joshi is fake, but there is not mentioned that letter is fake from the Friends Group of Gujarat and the serial number of the sponsor letter has also been given in the complaint. This indicates that Shreyas Joshi may have been associated with this group in America.

According to the facts of the complaint, agent Shreyas Joshi a resident of Dewalipura , made a fake appointment employment letter of American’s Friends of Gujarat Company to processed the file for US Visa whose name are Shravan Kumar Dinesh Bhai Patel (a resident of Kailash Society, Amraiwadi, Ahmedabad ), Parshav Pankaj Kumar Mehta (a resident of Ananji, Kalyanji Block , Behrampura Chowki , Behrampura , Ahmedabad) , Ajay Kumar Bhikabhai Chowdhury (a Resident of Chowdhary Vas , Anandpura Veda , Gandhinagar.) Gagandeep Singh (a resident of Village Salanpura Dhona, Mothanwala, Kapurthala, Punjab), Jagdeep Singh Arora (a resident of R.S.R., Regency Society ) ) And
Dihang Kanubhai Patel (a resident of  Trupti Appartment , near Swaminarayan Temple , Ghatalodia )

For Friends Group of Gujarat fake appointment letter, Agent Shreyas Joshi and Jitesh took up to Rs 3 lakh. Master Mind Shreyas Joshi filed for the US visa for applicants by requesting a serial number from the US institution. The document was investigated by the US Embassy Office's Security Officer and then they come to know about the fake employment letter.

In a Statement, six applicants confessed that they had given rupees to Shreyas Joshi for Fake employment letter. A US security officer has lodged a police complaint with photos of applicants, their passports, statements, documents for visas.

Kirit Patel, President of Friends Group of Gujarat (relation with BJP)

Kirit Patel is a President of Friends of Gujarat. In his organisation Shree Jay is a Vice President, former Event Chair Deepak Shah and Co-Founder Suresh Jani. Kirit Patel has a good relation with top leader of BJP in Gujarat as well as in national too. He also issued a letter appealing to the citizens of Gujarat to vote for BJP in the last assembly elections.
