The commissioning of this unit is expected to commence in 2024, according to Chandrasekaran's announcement at a summit.
In addition to the semiconductor unit, Chandrasekaran revealed ambitious intentions to commence construction on a 20-gigawatt battery storage factory in Gujarat within the next few months. This strategic move aligns with Tata's broader vision to contribute significantly to the nation's electric vehicle (EV) supply chain.
