During a phone conversation, Patel urged Dhami to extend all possible help to the stranded tourists. The Gujarat CM has also directed officials to begin contacting the stranded people, said an official release.
In the wake of the instruction issued by Patel, the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) has set up a helpline number - 07923251900 - to gather and share information regarding the pilgrims, who are stuck.
"We are in contact with the Uttarakhand government to airlift those six pilgrims. It is not possible at present because of the rough weather. They will be rescued using a helicopter once the weather improves," said Trivedi.
