Newly appointed Ambassador of the United States Of America (USA) to India, Eric Garcetti paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.
He visited Gujarat for the first time since taking charge as the US Ambassador to India in March 2023.

Expressing satisfaction over the warm welcome he received during his visit to Gujarat, Ambassador  Eric Garcetti expressed his expectation that USA and India can work together in the areas of bilateral trade relations, economic empowerment of women and net zero carbon economy.

The USA ambassador expressed keenness to collaborate with India and Gujarat on the U-20, Olympic Games and the upcoming Vibrant Summit.
He also extended a warm invitation to Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to visit Los Angeles.
Bhupendra Patel said during the conversation in this courtesy meeting that Gujarat has become famous as the best destination for investment.
Bhupendra Patel also added that the long-term relationship between the USA and Gujarat has been enhanced by the pace of regular dialogue and high-level engagements.
The current Chief Minister of Gujarat expressed the hope that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' of keeping everyone together on the path of development will be realized through this courtesy meeting.

The Chief Minister pointed out that Gujarat contributes 14 percent to the country's total renewable energy capacity and is developing the world's largest 30 GW solar and wind energy park.

In this regard, he urged the American companies to explore opportunities for cooperation and investments in the renewable energy space for research and innovation in renewable energy projects, grid integration and green hydrogen technology to promote clean energy, green mobility and green manufacturing.
Not only this, Shri Bhupendra Patel invited American fintech companies and tech startups to explore opportunities in sectors like artificial intelligence, machine learning, block chain, cyber security in Gift City, India's first green field smart city.

Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Mr. Haider and officials of US Embassy and senior secretaries of Gujarat Government joined in this courtesy visit meeting.
