The Yogi Adityanth-led government in Uttar Pradesh has approved a budget to install the 251-metre tall statue of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. The statue is part of the Ram Nagari Ayodhya project which will be installed on the banks of River Sarayu. A total budget of Rs 447.46 crore was approved for the complete development of Ram Nagari Ayodhya by the UP cabinet. This amount will be used to purchase 61.38 hectares of land in Meerapur area.
