The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the "One Nation One Subscription" scheme on Monday. It is a Central Sector Scheme aimed at providing nationwide access to scholarly research articles and journal publications.
This central sector scheme allocated a budget of Rs 6,000 crore for three years (2025–2027), will provide seamless digital access to academic resources for over 1.8 crore students, faculty, and researchers. Alongside this, the Cabinet has also approved the continuation of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog, with an allocation of Rs 2,750 crore until March 2028 on Monday.
