Two persons died and about 24 others were hospitalized after complaining of diarrhoea and vomiting since Sunday afternoon at Ekta Colony located in Jangleshwar area of the city. Primary probe by the health department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) suggested that those affected consumed contaminated food or water. Police said that Ekta Colony with a population of over 400 is inhabited by labourers from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. They work at factories and industrial units as labourers in the city.
