In the latest round of Twitter Layoffs, the social media platform has fired around 200 employees. As per new reports, Twitter laid off at least 200 people on Saturday, February 25, 2023. As per reports, these layoffs have been made as part of Elon Musk's efforts to cut costs.
As per a report by the New York Times, sources revealed that around 200 employees were laid off. Around 10 percent of the workforce has been fired.
After Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter in 2022, over 50 percent of Twitter employees were laid off, including the C-Suite of the infamous 'bird app'. During the time of Musk's $44 Billion acquisition of Twitter, there were 7,500 employees working. At present, only 2,000 employees are left, out of which, 200 have been let go.
