World leaders and heads of industry were dismayed and angry at Trump abandoning the landmark 2015 global climate pact. He said accord would cost US jobs and undermine the US economy. He complained in particular about China’s terms under the agreement. Earlier calling climate change a hoax, Trump said his administration would negotiate either to re-enter or have new agreement.
