Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday passed a Bill in the Assembly to integrate a university named after late CM J Jayalalithaa with another state-run institution, the Annamalai University. The opposition AIADMK staged a walkout and blocked a road, protesting against the move and dubbed it "political vendetta". They were later removed by the police and lodged in a hall.
