The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday extended lockdown till September 6 with additional relaxations in curbs. Schools for classes 9-12 and all colleges will reopen from September 1 on a rotational basis. All college teaching and non-teaching staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Theatres can reopen at 50% capacity and shops can open till 10 pm from Monday (August 23).
