The Tamil Nadu government extended COVID-19 lockdown till November 15, while giving relaxations. It allowed 100% occupancy in theatres from November 1. While curbs on festivals will continue, shops can remain open beyond 11 pm. Public transport, except buses to Kerala, can operate with 100% capacity and in-person classes for classes 1-8 are allowed on rotational basis from November 1.
