A day ahead of the first phase of the Assembly election in West Bengal, the TMC on Friday wrote a letter to the Election Commission (EC) seeking additional deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) in certain areas of the state. The letter also alleged that BJP's Nandigram candidate Suvendu Adhikari has been "harbouring armed criminals."
