The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board has banned 18 non-Hindu staff from TTD activities for violating its rule requiring staff to follow Hindu traditions. These staff were found to be practising non-Hindu traditions, which led to disciplinary action. Earlier, the TTD board Chairman BR Naidu had stated that only Hindu employees could work at TTD.
