Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated a three-day international conference to promote Sanskrit language.  

Speaking on the occasion, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister said, Sanskrit continues to be prevalent in the society as it is used by the people across the country. Sanskrit words are found in most of the Indian languages. Today one lakh people from 21 countries are studying Sanskrit. Around three crore students from class 1 to 12 are studying Sanskrit all over India. 76 delegates from 21 countries are participating in this world conference. Representatives from 3883 locations in 542 districts are participating. Thousands of Sanskrit lovers from 17 countries are attending Sanskrit Bharati Vishwa Sammelan. As Science & Technology Minister, I tried to understand the relation between Sanskrit and Science & Technology. This conference will definitely spread the fame of Sanskrit.

An eminent Lok Sabha Member Pratap Chandra Sarangi expresses his view in Sanskrit and said we should give more importance to the Sanskrit language. Further, he added, those who don’t know Sanskrit they don’t know India. The Sanskrit language is the best language.

Sanskrit Bharati program host and All India President, professor Bhaktvatsal Sharma said, Sanskrit is not a language but a way of life. Sanskrit Bharati is a non-profit organisation with Pan-India presence working to revive the Sanskrit language. Vice-chancellor of Universities, Principal, Professor, Teacher and Various dignitaries was also present on the occasion.
