RJD chief Lalu Prasad said on Wednesday that his son Tejashwi "will not resign" and added that chief minister Nitish Kumar "has not asked him to resign" either. Lalu said he spoke with Nitish on Tuesday and can therefore confirm that the Bihar CM has not asked for Tejashwi's resignation. Tejashwi is deputy chief minister of Bihar.
The RJD chief's son has been named - along with Lalu, his wife Rabri, and others - in a CBI chargesheet in a land-for-hotels corruption case.
