Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami on Sunday announced that the lockdown has been extended in the state till September 30 with several relaxations. In a statement, the government said the Sunday lockdown and e-pass system has been scrapped. Places of worship will be opened to the public soon, and metro will be made functional from September 7, it added.
