Tourists planning to visit the Taj Mahal should mark Monday (August 12) in their itinerary as the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided to make the entry to the mausoleum completely free for three hours.
According to the ASI sources, local Muslims offer a special Namaz on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha at the mosque inside the Taj Mahal every year and this year, Eid-ul-Azha is falling on August 12. So, the Taj Mahal will be free for all visitors from 7 am to 10 am, after which, the regular entry ticket will be charged.
