The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has ordered seven-day mandatory home quarantine for all those who arrive in the city from outside. People showing Covid-19 symptoms will have to undergo Covid-19 test urgently. Those failing to obey the order will attract legal action under the Epidemic Disease Act and the Disaster Management Act, the civic body said. The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has also decided to shut all gardens till further order. The civic body has also ordered schools, colleges and tuitions classes across all zones to function only through online mode. Only during examinations, they can function offline.
