Coastal districts and maritime ports of Bangladesh came under the influence of Cyclone Mora which killed at least six people. Winds blowing up to 150 kms per hour damaged several houses and authorities had to evacuate hundreds of thousands of people from the coastal areas. Bangladesh Meteorological Department said Cyclone Mora is likely to move in a northerly direction further.
