As per reports, six members of Shia Waqf Board were removed from their positions on Saturday by the Uttar Pradesh government. This comes two days after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government gave its nod for the dissolution of Shia and Sunni Waqf Boards as per the recommendations of a Central Waqf Council (CWC) committee.
