The Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress on Saturday filed in a petition in the Supreme Court on Saturday, against the "arbitrary and malafide actions/decisions" of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari in swearing-in Devendra Fadnavis as the chief minister. The Congress has now requested the Supreme Court to conduct an urgent hearing tonight.
"In our petition, we requested SC for an urgent direction for a Floor Test to be held tomorrow itself. We are hopeful the Supreme Court will hear us. Our petition has been numbered," Senior Advocate Devadutt Kamat for Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena said. Congress said, Floor test should be videographed and also demanded that a floor test be conducted in 24 hours. The floor test to prove the majority by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was supposed to be conducted on November 30.
