An elderly patient, who was seriously injured in a road accident, was left upside down on a stretcher allegedly by an ambulance driver for vomiting and urinating inside the vehicle. A video of the disturbing incident is going viral on social media triggering an outrage. The victim, who is yet to be identified, was critically injured in a road mishap in Palakkad on March 20. He was first taken to a private hospital nearby and later shifted to the Palakkad district hospital. On Friday night, he was moved to Thrissur for better care. In the video, the man, who had suffered a head injury, is seen lying on a stretcher that is partly resting against the ambulance door on one end and touching the ground on the other. Local media reported that the driver of the ambulance was miffed at the patient who vomited and urinated inside the vehicle. The police neither confirmed nor denied this claim.
