Shailesh Gupta Director of Jagran Prakashan limited and Mid-Day has been elected president of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for the year 2019-20 at its 80th Annual General Meeting. Gupta takes over from Jayant Mammen Mathew of Malayala Manorama. L Adimoolam has been picked as the Deputy President, D D Purkayastha (Anand Bazar Patrika) the Vice-President and Naresh Mohan (Sunday Statesman) the Honorary Treasurer of the Society. Mary Paul has been appointed the Society's Secretary-General.
