Tamil Nadu minister Senthil Balaji allegedly entered into a criminal conspiracy along with other accused with the managing directors of the state transport undertakings to take money from job aspirants, the Enforcement Directorate, or ED, said in its remand note.
Balaji obtained illegal gratification from candidates to recruit them as drivers, conductors, junior tradesmen, junior assistants, junior engineers, etc., the note added.
