Benchmark indices as well as broader markets closed sharply lower on Tuesday as rising crude oil prices may impact fiscal deficit and raw material cost of companies which are dependent upon oil. The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 360.43 points or 1.07 percent at 33,370.76 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 101.60 points or 0.97 percent to 10,350.20. About 1,869 shares declined against 877 advancing shares on the BSE.
