The equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty hit fresh lifetime high levels today (July 3). Sensex hit a historic 80,000 mark and Nifty reached a fresh lifetime high in early trade on Wednesday.
The NSE Nifty 50 was up 0.7% at 24,291.75 points, while the S&P BSE Sensex added 0.72% to 80,013.77 points. This is the first time that the 30-stock Sensex has crossed the 80,000 mark.
