Backed by banking & financials, auto and FMCG stocks, equity benchmarks continued to run up for third consecutive day as the Sensex closed above the 30000 mark for the first time ever. The Nifty ended at record closing high- 45.25 points at 9,351.85. The Sensex rallied 190.11 points to 30,133.35 but the broader markets saw profit booking.
