Amid the protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been imposed near Red Fort and Mandi House in Delhi. Moreover, entry and exit gates of seven metro stations have been closed. Nineteen stations of the Delhi Metro were shut down. These were Jamia Millia, Jama Masjid, Munirka, Vasant Vihar, Mandi House, Patel Chowk, Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhawan, ITO, Pragati Maidan, Khan Market, Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh, Lal Quila, Vishwa Vidyalaya, Central Secretariat, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba and Chandni Chowk.
