An independent sarpanch, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bangroo, was shot dead by terrorists at the Goshbugh area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Friday. "He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead," police added. His murder was condemned by L-G Manoj Sinha who said, "Perpetrators of this despicable act shall be punished."
