Samsung recently announced its second foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip, and is working towards the second iteration of its Galaxy Fold. The founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants - Ross Young, took to Twitter to report about the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2. According to him, the phone will feature a 7.7” unfolded display with an under-screen front camera. It could potentially also boast of Samsung’s foldable glass proprietary technology, the ultra-thin glass (UTG), that was used in the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip.
The under display camera technology will allow smartphone manufacturers to completely eliminate the need of a notch or a hole punch display, and in this way, reduce the bezels even further for an all-screen smartphone. It adds that it will be launched in the second half of this year.
