British automobile maker Rolls-Royce on Tuesday reported a record loss of £4.6 billion (over ₹38,600 crore) for 2016, reflecting a fine to settle bribery charges and the weak pound. Rolls-Royce agreed to pay £671 million (over ₹5,500 crore) in January to authorities in Britain, Brazil, and the US. The amount, which is payable over five years, has been booked together.
