The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has directed social media platforms to immediately remove all content that "seem to encourage/glorify/justify" the beheading of Udaipur man Kanhaiya Lal. This is to prevent any incitement and disruption of public order and to restore public peace and harmony, the Ministry said. Meta said it has designated the incident as "violating".
