Students in schools across Maharashtra will have to compulsorily read-out the Preamble to the Constitution during their morning assemblies from January 26 onwards, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said on Tuesday. The aim of this is to make students aware of the core values of the Constitution, Gaikwad added. In February 2013, the then Congress-NCP government issued the same order.
