Rani ki Vav, the Unesco World Heritage Site in Patan, has been listed as an A-category monument by Archeological Survey Of India (ASI). A notification according A-category status to the queen’s step-well was issued on September 19.
“Rani ki Vav will be the second heritage site after Champaner-Pavagadh to be included in the list of existing 20 monuments of the likes of Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and others,” said senior conservator, ASI, Patan, IM Mansuri.
