The election results for four seats in Karnataka, 10 in Uttar Pradesh and one in Himachal Pradesh are out. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won eight Rajya Sabha seats and Samajwadi Party bagged two seats after cross-voting by MLAs in Uttar Pradesh.
The ruling Congress party in Karnataka registered victory on three seats in the Rajya Sabha polls, while the BJP managed to secure a win on one seat. In Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan won, defeating the Congress's Abhishek Manu Singhvi.
