Fourteen people have been arrested on charges of attacking Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait’s convoy in Tatarpur village of Alwar district on Friday. This includes Kuldeep Yadav, a functionary of the student organization Akhil Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also took to Twitter to condemn the attack and said action will be taken against the culprits. Gehlot said the way the BJP has handled the farmers’ movement has been shameful since the beginning.
